About Dahej, Jolva Plant:

GFL is a major player in the field of fluoropolymers, fluoro-intermediates and refrigerant gases.

Its major 120-acre facility in Dahej (called Dahej A) has been fully used up with rapid expansions and with a capital outlay of more than Rs. 2800 cr. since commencement of operations at this site in 2008.However the business is growing at a healthy pace.

Therefore, GFL has opened up another 120-acre facility in Dahej (called Dahej B). At this new site we have already set up expansion of one of the faster growth fluoropolymers.

We have ambitious plans to add immediately within the next year another 4-5 plants with a total capital outlay of about Rs. 350 cr. in the first phase. These 5 plants will be in the existing business verticals of Fluoropolymers and Fluorointermediates.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Literature study, Patent search and research article survey for assigned projects
• Study and identification of synthesis route of assigned projects
• Synthesis of Chemicals at lab and scale up for pilot scale
• Development of prototype products and scale up to commercial level
• Time bound completion of development activities
• Test method development and characterization of molecules and chemicals
• Handling of critical analytical instruments like LC-MS, HPLC
• Day to day coordination and work closely with consultant and IIT for NF project
• Reporting to AGM (or Head)-R & D, Development and handling Chemist for development and lab related activity
• ISO/IMS documentation, GLP related to Research lab

Educational Requirements :

• Minimum Qualification- M.Sc in Chemistry
• Preferred Qualification- PHD in Analytical Chemistry/ Organic chemistry/ Synthetic organic Chemistry

Experience Requirements :

• 8-12 Years for Managerial level.
• Relevant experience required in - R&D, Synthesis lab, R & D analytical development
