Function: GIC Supply Chain End-to-End Operations
The GIC Supply Chain team manages planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics to deliver an efficient, responsive, and cost-effective supply chain aligned with organizational and market needs.
Purpose of the Role
The role supports General Mills US operations virtually, managing multiple plants, warehouses, and business teams. It combines
people leadership, service management, replenishment, and network planning responsibilities. The role drives collaboration across Distribution, Supply, Demand Planning, and System Governance teams to improve
case-fill performance while balancing cost and operational constraints.
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Responsibilities
- Ensure effective distribution planning for assigned Operating Units (OUs) to exceed KPIs (e.g., case-fill) while optimizing transportation and inventory costs.
- Own tactical deployment decisions and deployment governance for assigned OUs.
- Act as Regional Replenishment Lead supporting US Replenishment Managers on short-term network strategies.
- Support deployers and network SPOCs in resolving transportation, warehouse, plant, and network constraints.
Operational Responsibilities
- Build expertise in planning systems (SAP R/3, OMP, Inventory Analyst, Terra DS, ERP tools).
- Communicate key performance metrics, service risks, inventory targets, and constraints to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning, Supply, Scheduling, Customer Service, Warehousing, Transportation, and Plants to improve service and flow.
- Ensure adherence to standard processes and documentation.
- Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and Run, Improve, Transform methodologies.
- Sustain effective utilization of Distribution Planning systems and dashboards.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and knowledge-sharing forums.

- Lead and contribute to cross-functional and function-level initiatives.
- Drive efficiency and cost-savings projects.
- Participate in annual goal and objective setting.
Continuous Improvement
- Build scalable, repeatable solutions through automation, standardization, and Lean practices.

- Support transition and development of new distribution planning capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Full-time graduation from an accredited university (mandatory).
- Experience: Bachelor's (8+ years) or MBA (6+ years).
- Strong knowledge of distribution planning, logistics operations, and inventory management.
- Hands-on experience with SAP/OMP/o9 and reporting tools (Inventory Analyst, Tableau).
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills (pivots, macros, solver, queries, statistics).
- Strong project management, CI mindset, strategic and tactical decision-making skills.
- Data visualization, storytelling, and stakeholder influencing skills.
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication, presentation, coaching, mentoring, and time management skills.
- Proven ability to work in ambiguity, multitask, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to change.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- 67 years of relevant experience.
- Major in Supply Chain.
- Certifications: APICS-CSCP, PMP, Six Sigma.
