Project Role: Manager - SAP FICO
Project Role Description: As an SAP FICO Manager, you will lead and oversee the financial (FI) and controlling (CO) aspects of SAP S/4HANA migrations. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the proper configuration of SAP FICO modules, driving process improvements, and ensuring financial data integrity throughout the conversion process. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and consultants to ensure seamless implementation and optimization of SAP FICO solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- SAP FICO Module Implementation & Optimization: Lead the end-to-end implementation of SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) modules in SAP S/4HANA, including configuring and optimizing system functionalities for finance and controlling.
- Migration & Conversion: Manage and oversee SAP S/4HANA migration projects from legacy systems, ensuring that all financial data is accurately converted, and there is minimal disruption to business operations.
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing financial and controlling processes and implement improvements through SAP FICO solutions to enhance efficiency, compliance, and accuracy.
- System Configuration & Customization: Oversee the configuration of SAP FI and CO modules, ensuring the system is aligned with business requirements. Customize SAP FICO settings to adapt to company-specific processes and requirements.
- Data Integrity & Financial Reporting: Ensure the integrity of financial data during the migration process. Work on financial reports, integration of accounting functions, and ensure seamless reporting capabilities in SAP.
- Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Collaborate closely with functional, technical, and project teams to ensure that SAP FICO solutions are integrated well with other SAP modules (such as MM, SD, HR, etc.) and business processes.
- User Support & Training: Provide support to business users and stakeholders during the SAP FICO implementation. Lead training sessions to ensure effective knowledge transfer and proper usage of the SAP FICO system.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Ensure rigorous testing of SAP FICO configurations and customizations. Work with the technical team to resolve any issues during system implementation, integration, or post-go-live.
- Compliance & Audit Management: Ensure that SAP FICO configurations comply with internal and external financial regulations and standards. Manage audits and ensure financial processes are transparent and auditable.
- Project Management: Lead the SAP FICO project activities, including resource allocation, scheduling, and tracking progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as a key point of contact for SAP FICO-related decisions, providing timely updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Skills Required:
- SAP FICO Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) modules. In-depth knowledge of SAP FI and CO configuration, including integration with other SAP modules.
- SAP S/4HANA Knowledge: Experience in migrating or implementing SAP S/4HANA, particularly in the areas of finance and controlling.
- Business Process Knowledge: Understanding of financial processes, accounting, controlling, and financial reporting.
- Project Management Skills: Proven experience in managing SAP projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality are met. Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues in SAP FICO configurations and provide innovative solutions.
- Leadership & Team Management: Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and guiding them through the SAP FICO implementation and optimization processes.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior management.
- Change Management: Ability to manage change during SAP FICO projects, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SAP certification in SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) is highly preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in SAP FICO, with at least 4-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations, upgrades, and implementations, particularly in the financial and controlling areas.
- Experience working on end-to-end SAP FICO projects, including configuration, testing, go-live support, and post-implementation support.
