Project Role: Manager - SAP EAM (Enterprise Asset Management)

Project Role Description: The SAP EAM Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the implementation, support, and optimization of SAP EAM solutions for clients. This role involves overseeing the entire asset management lifecycle, from planning and procurement to maintenance, repair, and decommissioning, using SAP EAM functionality. The ideal candidate will manage a team of consultants, engage with clients to understand their requirements, and provide end-to-end solutions to enhance asset management processes within the SAP environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP EAM Implementation & Optimization: Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP EAM solutions. Work closely with clients to understand their asset management needs and provide customized solutions.
  • Solution Design: Design, configure, and deploy SAP EAM solutions in line with industry best practices. Customize the SAP EAM modules (PM, MM, PS) to support various asset management processes, including maintenance planning, inventory management, and procurement.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze existing asset management processes and identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency, cost reduction, and asset lifespan management. Recommend and implement enhancements to existing systems and workflows.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work directly with clients, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, ensure the solution is aligned with business objectives, and provide updates on project progress.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of SAP EAM consultants, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and ensuring quality deliverables. Foster a collaborative environment and manage the team's day-to-day operations.
  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure that SAP EAM implementations are completed on time and within budget. Handle project risks and challenges and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Integration with Other SAP Modules: Collaborate with functional consultants in other SAP modules (MM, WM, PS, FICO) to ensure smooth integration and seamless data flow across systems.
  • Training & Knowledge Transfer: Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users and internal teams, ensuring they understand the new or optimized SAP EAM systems and processes.
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP EAM solutions post-implementation. Resolve any issues related to system performance, configuration, and functionality.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of SAP EAM configurations, customizations, business processes, and system architecture for future reference and audits.

Skills Required:

  • SAP EAM Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with SAP EAM, including modules such as PM (Plant Maintenance), MM (Materials Management), and PS (Project System).
  • Configuration & Customization: In-depth knowledge of SAP EAM configurations, customizations, and enhancements. Ability to implement solutions for asset management, work orders, preventive maintenance, and spare parts management.
  • Integration Experience: Experience with integrating SAP EAM with other SAP modules like MM, WM, FICO, and PS to ensure seamless operations.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage and lead SAP implementation projects. Experience with project management methodologies, tools, and techniques to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Business Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of asset management, maintenance strategies, inventory management, procurement, and cost control processes.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Experience leading teams, mentoring consultants, and managing day-to-day operations in a high-pressure environment.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
