Project Role: Manager - SAP PP (Production Planning)
Project Role Description: Lead and manage the SAP Production Planning (PP) module, overseeing its implementation, optimization, and ongoing support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that SAP PP processes align with business needs and support the efficient management of production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- SAP PP Implementation & Optimization: Lead the implementation of SAP PP solutions, from configuration to deployment. Ensure the SAP PP module is optimized for production planning, scheduling, and integration with other business processes.
- Process Design & Configuration: Work closely with business stakeholders to design and configure SAP PP processes to align with production goals, including master data, production orders, capacity planning, and demand management.
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage and guide a team of SAP PP consultants, ensuring their growth and the successful delivery of projects. Foster a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Production Planning & Scheduling: Oversee production planning and scheduling in SAP, ensuring seamless integration with procurement, inventory, and manufacturing systems. Ensure timely production orders and material availability.
- System Support & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support for SAP PP, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and ensuring smooth operations of the system. Lead efforts to resolve production-related system issues in a timely manner.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead the testing phases (unit testing, integration testing, UAT) to ensure that SAP PP solutions are functioning as expected and meet business needs.
- Cross-Module Integration: Ensure smooth integration between SAP PP and other SAP modules such as SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP WM, and SAP QM to enable end-to-end business processes.
- Project Management: Lead the planning, scoping, and delivery of SAP PP-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to business requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within SAP PP to streamline production processes, enhance system performance, and adopt best practices.
- User Training & Documentation: Provide training to end-users on SAP PP processes and functionalities. Maintain comprehensive documentation related to configurations, customizations, and user procedures.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in SAP PP: In-depth experience in SAP Production Planning, including production scheduling, material requirements planning (MRP), and integration with manufacturing processes.
- Process Optimization: Strong understanding of production planning and manufacturing processes, including capacity planning, demand management, and production order management.
- SAP Configuration & Customization: Proven experience in configuring and customizing SAP PP to meet specific business requirements.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, ensuring high performance and the successful completion of SAP PP projects.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with stakeholders from various departments, including IT, operations, and procurement, to implement SAP PP solutions.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and identify process improvements.
- Project Management: Solid experience managing SAP projects, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining quality.
- Integration Skills: Knowledge of SAP PP integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, WM, QM).
- Continuous Improvement: Proactive in identifying opportunities to optimize and streamline production processes through SAP PP.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- SAP certification in SAP PP module (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in SAP PP, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in leading SAP PP implementations, upgrades, and support projects.
- Hands-on experience with SAP PP and its integration with other SAP modules.
- Strong experience in managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects.
