Project Role: Manager – SAP SD
Project Role Description: The SAP SD Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation, support, and optimization of the SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module. This involves overseeing the design, configuration, and integration of SAP SD solutions to ensure efficient sales and distribution processes. The role requires strong leadership, deep functional expertise in SAP SD, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal business solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- SAP SD Implementation & Optimization: Lead the SAP SD module implementation and optimization processes, ensuring the alignment of business processes with SAP functionality. Drive continuous improvement and enhance the overall sales and distribution process.
- Configuration & Design: Responsible for designing and configuring the SAP SD module, including Sales Order Management, Delivery, Billing, and Pricing, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into SAP SD solutions. Participate in requirement gathering, process design, and solution architecture.
- Integration with Other Modules: Ensure seamless integration of the SAP SD module with other modules such as SAP MM, SAP FICO, SAP WM, and SAP MM, ensuring that all modules work cohesively within the SAP landscape.
- Project Management & Leadership: Lead the SAP SD team, providing guidance and support during the project lifecycle. Monitor and manage project timelines, deliverables, and client expectations to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support to SAP SD users, troubleshooting issues and providing solutions to any challenges faced during daily operations.
- User Training & Knowledge Transfer: Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users, ensuring that they can efficiently use the SAP SD module. Create and maintain end-user documentation.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Ensure thorough testing of SAP SD configurations, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure the system meets business needs and performs as expected.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with SAP SD best practices and innovations. Continuously evaluate existing processes and suggest improvements that can optimize business performance and SAP system usage.
- Risk Management & Reporting: Identify risks, provide mitigation strategies, and report on the progress and status of SAP SD projects to senior management.
Skills Required:
- SAP SD Expertise: Strong experience in configuring and implementing the SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module, including all core components such as Sales Order Management, Delivery, Billing, Pricing, and Credit Management.
- Cross-Module Integration: Experience in integrating SAP SD with other modules such as SAP MM, SAP FICO, SAP WM, and SAP PP, ensuring end-to-end business processes are optimized.
- Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead SAP SD projects from initiation to completion, managing project timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
- Communication & Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and interact with senior stakeholders.
