Job Title: Manager – Data Engineering

Job Summary

We are looking for a Manager – Data Engineering with 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, database modernization, and enterprise data integration. The role will lead data engineering teams, drive data platform initiatives, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions supporting analytics, reporting, and business transformation.

Industry experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Accounting, or Enterprise Data Platforms is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Data Engineers and ETL Developers.
• Design and deliver scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data integration solutions.
• Manage database modernization and migration initiatives involving PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and cloud data platforms.
• Develop and optimize data warehouses, data marts, and lakehouse architectures.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive performance tuning, data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring frameworks.
• Oversee project delivery, resource planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Support financial, regulatory, and management reporting requirements.
• Promote automation, best practices, and continuous improvement across data platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, Database Administration, or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server.
• Expertise in ETL/ELT, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, and Data Migration.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modernization projects.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and project delivery skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering Enterprise Data Platform or Lakehouse solutions.
• Exposure to Banking, Finance, Risk, Treasury, or Regulatory Reporting data domains.
• Experience leading Oracle-to-PostgreSQL or similar modernization programs.
• Certifications in Data Engineering, Cloud Technologies, Databases, or Project Management are a plus.
