Job Overview
Our TE Connectivity Data & AI organization is on an accelerated journey to streamline our engineering capabilities across Data, BI and AI platforms and products.
This position reports to Senior Manager, Data & AI Architecture. This is an exciting opportunity to lead end-to-end data & AI engineering teams! A key responsibility will be to implement next generation data platform with best data engineering, data architecture and AI functionality across data domains and AI-assisted BI products.
This leader will bring extensive experience, deliver future capabilities, inspire the team and partners, and will link data & AI products to business metrics.
Manager will partner closely with Architecture, AI & Data Science and BI team leaders, as well as key business and IT stakeholders to build & scale the organization's use of advanced technologies to optimize our investments and maximize value of data products.
Responsibilities:
- Shape and lead Databricks Data & AI engineering practices and resources
- Define & implement technical strategies and roadmaps to ensure we maximize value of data in our Databricks on AWS environment.
- Drive seamless integration of data products with BI and AI capabilities.
- Drive innovation and thought leadership by anticipating and responding to rapidly changing trends, translating relevant insights into products that create business value
- Enable high productivity delivery with AI-augmented data engineering practices
- Forge trusted partnerships with internal & external partners. Work closely with business leaders to understand their needs; clearly articulate the story of value created through data & technology
Candidate Desired Profiles:
Skills, Experience, and Education
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, applied data science or related fields; advanced degree preferred
- 6+ years of IT experience specializing in Data & Technology architecture, Data Engineering and AI
- Demonstrated strength in examining issues, shaping data engineering strategies and influencing effectively across the organization. Ability to drive & lead teams, challenge the status quo in technology & architecture
- Superb interpersonal & communication skills, including the ability to explain technology concepts to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists.
- Background or knowledge of Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing domains is preferred.
- Proven track record of implementing data engineering pipelines, CI/CD for Data & AI capabilities
- Hands-on experience with data, analytics and AI technologies in cloud environments (AWS strongly preferred)
- Expert practitioner of PySpark, Python, SQL, DBT, CI/CD tools
- Superb hands-on knowledge of Databricks tech stack and AI/BI Genie is a must.
- Knowledge of PowerBI Fabric is preferred.
- Expert Agile & RVR practitioner; ability to define & implement prototypes and MVPs, make decision on scalability & future roadmaps is required.
- Proven track record leading multiple high-profile projects with demanding deadlines & changing requirements. Ability to estimate required effort and prioritize work & resources appropriately.
