Manager - Custom Clearance (Only Mumbai Candidate with experience with CHA and Freight Forwarding)

Role Description The Manager – Custom Clearance is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing and managing all customs clearance activities for import and export shipments. This role includes coordinating with Customs House Agents (CHA), freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant clearance of cargo. The manager will review documentation, monitor shipment status, resolve clearance issues, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and procedures. Daily responsibilities also involve communicating with clients and authorities, optimizing processes, and ensuring accurate reporting and record-keeping. The role requires leadership in guiding the clearance team, maintaining service quality, and supporting business growth in the Mumbai region.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong customs brokerage skills, including experience handling regulatory requirements and documentation.
• Candidates should possess expertise in import, export, and end-to-end import export operations.
• Candidates should be able to lead customer service team of custom clearance
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, customs officials, CHA, and freight forwarding partners.
• Relevant experience in customs clearance management, preferably with CHA and freight forwarding companies in Mumbai.
• Solid understanding of Indian customs regulations, port procedures, and international trade documentation.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lead a team, manage multiple shipments and deadlines, and work effectively on-site.
• Graduate degree in logistics, supply chain, commerce, or a related field is preferred.
