Manager – Credit Analysis (Mid Corporate Group) | Mumbai
Role Summary
An experienced credit professional role within a Mid Corporate lending environment in banking/financial services. The position focuses on credit underwriting, financial analysis, risk assessment, and portfolio monitoring, along with team leadership responsibilities to ensure high-quality credit evaluation and timely decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Credit Analysis & Risk Assessment
- Perform detailed credit analysis for Mid Corporate clients
- Evaluate financial statements, cash flows, business models, and industry risks
- Assess creditworthiness and repayment capacity of borrowers
2. Credit Appraisal & Documentation
- Prepare credit appraisal notes and detailed risk assessment reports
- Present findings and recommendations for credit sanctioning
- Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and risk frameworks
3. Portfolio Monitoring
- Monitor assigned credit portfolio on an ongoing basis
- Identify early warning signals and potential credit risks
- Recommend risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions
4. Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with relationship managers and business teams
- Coordinate with internal risk, operations, and credit approval teams
- Support business growth while maintaining credit discipline
5. Team Management
- Lead and supervise a team of credit analysts
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of credit evaluations
- Mentor and develop junior team members
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in Credit Analysis or Credit Underwriting
- Strong expertise in financial statement analysis, credit risk assessment, and underwriting
- Experience in Mid Corporate or corporate lending segments preferred
- Proven experience in team handling and leadership roles
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
