About the Role
This is a leadership role for a strong consulting professional who wants breadth, access, and the chance to shape a firm in transition. The candidate must work closely with the senior leadership to strengthen how TNP India engages clients, wins work, and develops its consultants. The role has no team, no P&L, and no department by design. It is built for someone who multiplies impact across the firm rather than running a piece of it.
This is a role for someone in their prime as an individual contributor with sharp consulting instincts, real client credibility, and a natural ability to raise the standard around them.
Key Responsibilities
Strengthen senior client engagements
- Embed in strategic client conversations across the firm and bring sharper diagnosis, structure, and executive framing to those conversations.
- Support other consultants and leadership in preparing for high-stakes client meetings, proposals, and presentations.
- Help shape the firm's most important proposals before they go out with points of view, executive narratives, and commercial framing.
Coach senior consultants in real situations
- Work side by side with senior consultants on live engagements and coach them in the moment on how to think, structure, and present at consulting standards.
- Accelerate the development of consultants who are ready to step up as advisors.
- Be the person a senior consultant turns to when they need to sharpen something fast.
Build the firm's consulting toolkit
- Develop points of view, diagnostic frameworks, sector insights, and reference cases that consultants can use in client conversations.
- Capture what is working in the firm's best engagements and turn it into reusable assets.
- Maintain the standard for what a TNP India proposal, deliverable, and client conversation should look like.
Act as Chief of Staff to the Managing Director
- Drive the strategic initiatives the MD wants moved forward, with clean execution and minimal overhead.
- Sit in on senior client meetings, leadership conversations, and reviews as the MD's extension where needed.
- Bring observations, patterns, and recommendations back to the MD on what is working and where the firm needs to push harder.
Required Experience
- Currently or recently at a Manager or Senior Manager level, with a track record of leading client engagements end-to-end.
- Experience across at least two consulting domains — strategy, transformation, digital, data, or operations.
- Direct client-facing experience with Indian large enterprises at the senior management and director level.
Mandatory
Indian market consulting experience is non-negotiable.The successful candidate must have spent the majority of their career advising Indian clients directly. Candidates whose experience is primarily in offshore delivery to overseas customers will not be considered, regardless of seniority.
