Job Description

Position Purpose

The Manager – Compensation & Workforce Planning will serve as a core specialist responsible for the end-to-end administration, analysis, and optimization of the organization's Total Rewards programs. This role bridges HR strategy and financial discipline by monitoring headcount against approved manpower budgets, managing group benefit plans, and leveraging advanced analytics to deliver actionable insights that drive retention, productivity, and strategic workforce cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Compensation & Total Rewards Management

  • Maintain, review, and update internal compensation structures to ensure robust alignment with external market benchmarks.
  • Drive the operational execution of the Annual Compensation Review cycles, providing critical data modeling and analytical inputs.
  • Oversee and validate complex incentive and variable bonus calculations to ensure precision and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Conduct regular internal parity assessments and analyze external salary survey outcomes to support equitable compensation decisions.

2. Benefits Strategy & Plan Administration

  • Manage the implementation, renewals, and day-to-day operations of all group employee benefit plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and advocate for employees, efficiently resolving queries and issues related to benefits coverage.
  • Partner with external brokers and vendors to ensure seamless service delivery and optimized plan administration.

3. Workforce Planning & Budgetary Control

  • Track, monitor, and audit real-time headcount numbers against approved organization-wide manpower budgets.
  • Perform comprehensive variance analyses, proactively highlighting financial risks, deviations, or structural overruns to leadership.
  • Partner with Finance and Business HR (HRBPs) to evaluate compensation needs across different business verticals and ensure accurate cost allocation.

4. Reward Analytics & People Cost Reporting

  • Develop and deliver periodic reports on people costs, capturing key historical trends and forecasting future expenses for Strategic Workforce Planning.
  • Assist in the compilation, monitoring, and governance of the overall HR budget.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify opportunities for workforce cost optimization and productivity enhancement.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA in HR preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of dedicated experience in Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, and Manpower Budgeting. Exposure to the BFSI or insurance sector is an advantage.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Analytical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA Macros. Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI is highly advantageous.
  • Systems & Compliance: Strong hands-on expertise with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and a solid understanding of statutory compliance regulations.
  • Professional Certifications: Preferred certifications include Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), SHRM-CP/SCP, or equivalent industry credentials.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to communicate financial and analytical data clearly to non-technical business leaders.
