Strategy, Plan and Procurement of Coal from Domestic and Imported Sources for all Thermal Power Plants to ensure availability of Coal with desired Quality and most economical Price for uninterrupted Operations of the all Thermal Plants.

Domestic Coal Plan & Procurement: To plan and procure Coal from Various sources Like Linkage Coal, E Auction Coal, Forward Auction Coal, Open market and Imported Coal as per the AOP plan.

Identifying Opportunities for Cost effectiveness and Quality Management: Make out the strategies for getting the coal from coal companies at the best affordable price with guaranteed quality coal to ensure reliable power sales in the market As per target
Logistics facilitation for Domestic Coal: To Arrange the Logistics (Rail & Road) for movement of coal from the mines of SECL, WCL, SCCL & MCL to Power Plants

Coordination & Liaison with Coal Companies: Regular coordination / follow up with Coal Companies like CIL, SECL, MCL, WCL, SCCL for procurement of coal. Day in day out coordination with Railways for movement of Coal by Rail.
Regular follow up with Vendors, Transporters for movement of Coal by Road. Associated activities with various Agencies for Submission of Monthly Programme, Allocation of Rakes, Mines management for best quality of Coal

Education Qualifications
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Total 12-15 Years of experience required which 10+ years of experience in Coal Sourcing, Logistics in Power/Steel Industry
- B.Com/M.Com with a Professional Degree. MBA or PG Diploma is preferred
