PLM CoE Upgrade - Manager
PTC Center of Excellent (CoE) team is chartered to execute upgrades of PTC Products. In order to keep up with the upgrades of PLM Customers, PLM CoE Upgrade team is looking for a People Manager to manage a team of Upgrade Engineers. If you are highly organized, self-motivated, action-oriented and enjoy interacting and communicating with people at all levels, we want to speak with you about a position within our high performing CoE team.
The person in this role will report to the CoE Director, and is responsible for managing a team of Upgrade Engineers who are assigned with executing and delivering Windchill upgrades on PTC hosted environments. Desired outcomes ensuring the team members are trained, empowered and supported to execute their day-to—day duties while ensuring on time and quality delivery. The role also will act as a liaison between the team and internal PTC teams to align and ensure required support is established to execute the PLM upgrades efficiently.

Day-To-Day
- Manage a team of 5-7 engineers having unique experience levels.
- Direct interaction with each team member to assign, monitor and control the PLM upgrade execution tasks.
- Monitor and own individual development plans and performance goals.
- Assist the team members to get support from various stakeholders to get timely support and solutions to issues and challenges that directly impact the work.
- Conduct daily standup meetings to keep track of the team's deliverable.
Preferred Skills
- Strong Project and Team Management Capabilities
- Prior experience at a People manager role, managing individual contributors at various experience levels.
- Knowledge with PTC PLM Windchill Product Suite – Preferably exposure to Windchill Runtime components.
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux OS
- Strong motivation to learn new emerging technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Basic AWS or Azure, networking experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook
- Based on project needs, availability to work night and weekends
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a Computer or engineering field or similar, with 8-10 years of experience in which 2-3 years of experience will be on People management.
- Fluent in English with excellent written and spoken communication skills
