As a member of the Corporate Functions Technology Team, you will report to the CFT Data & MI Lead working within the M&G Plc CFT area. This team is responsible for delivering application support, development and management of the different MI Applications (Business Objects, Qliksense, Qlikview, Power BI, Power Apps, Azure Devops) within Finance, Risk and other Corporate functions in order to support the growing requirements of the business. M&G Plc are looking for a candidate with the desire to become a core member of the MI Platform team. This role will help in developing and maintaining the Power BI/Power Apps artefacts within the team

Primary Key Responsibilities (Top 3-5 KRA)

  • For Enterprise adoption, be responsible for safe and efficient operation of a Power BI environment.
  • Worked on Power BI admin portal, and set up tenant settings, view usage reports, set organization visuals, and more. Be able to access and work on Power BI licensing, subscriptions or audit logs.
  • Experience in best practise applications within development lifecycle, version control and release management tools and processes.
  • Significant experience with troubleshooting end to end Power BI issues from initial ETL from data source, via gateways if applicable to report/dashboard/app
  • Experience working with Power BI admin portal, PowerShell and REST APIs

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Experience in best practise applications for dataflow/dataset/workspace design to minimise/simplify coding as well as data fetch from sources. And provide secure data distribution and access to specific and relevant audiences.
  • Power BI data modelling and building Power Query
  • Creating reports and dashboards using Power BI latest features and visualizations.
  • Creating calculated measures and columns with advanced DAX
  • Refresh data, content pack library and usages of Data Gateway
  • Publishing reports to Power BI service and setting up the necessary connection details and scheduling
  • Connect Microsoft Power BI Desktop to various data sources (Structured sources and APIs)
  • Experience on writing queries, procedures and views in SQL
  • Knowledge on M Language
  • Evaluate, design, implement and manage Power BI solutions
  • Implement data validation and cleansing processes
  • Setup and maintain automated reporting processes
  • Provide technical expertise in delivering business requirements
  • Provide consultation to business users on various facets of Power BI development, customer solution integration, Power BI infrastructure, Report Builder, Power BI APIs integration

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification

Knowledge & Skills (Must Have) :

  • More than 2 years of experience in Advanced Power BI Administration and Development.
  • Successful track record of software development involving business process and change
  • Good technical background in complete Power BI Infrastructure
  • Maintaining and programming in Power BI, Report Builder, including Power BI dashboard solutions
  • Experience of the Microsoft SQL Server BI stack, including T-SQL.
  • T-SQL including the use of stored procedures, functions, tables, triggers and views
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Should be a Self-starter (Understand the timelines involved and take responsibility to work with enthusiasm to achieve team's goals)

Knowledge & Skills (Additional) :

  • Cloud based implementations on Azure platform
  • Knowledge and experience in Savings & Investments domain
  • Knowledge and exposure to Regulatory processes like Information Security, Data Protection, etc.)

Experience:

  • At least 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in Data, BI, Insights, Reporting domain

Educational Qualification:

  • Preferably should have Technical/Science Graduation degree
  • MBA desirable
  • Data and Business Intelligence certification would be an add on
