Job Purpose

The primary responsibility of the role is to monitor and ensure accounting and reconciliation controls. The role is also responsible for ensuring accuracy of financial and MIS reporting procedures.

KRA1Assure accuracy and adequacy of reconciliation controls in the books of accounts and Review of accuracy of financial reporting1. Review reconciliation statements of all accounts and ensure adherence to reconciliation standards.

2. Reporting under reconciliation standards.

3. Streamline process of reconciliation between all support systems and financial systems to ensure minimum manual intervention in the accounting process

4. Review financial reporting procedures to ensure accuracy of the financial reporting

5. Report deviations, if any, under reconciliation standards

6. Extend assistance in identifying the issues wrt the exceptions reported under reconciliation standards.
KRA2Coordinate Process automation1. Scrutinize and identify manual intervention areas with potential control risks.

2. Evaluate and coordinate automation for enhanced controls.
KRA3Develop Exception reporting1. Devise and develop Exception reports for key control areas and highlighting control gaps and sending timely alerts.

2. Develop / implement relevant MISs and reporting mechanism for highlighting and providing relevant feedback / assurance to Head of Finance on the adequacy and efficacy of controls.

3. Highlight critical control gaps and provide timely alerts for taking effective remedial steps.
