Responsibilities
The Manager - C&I will be entrusted with comprehensive responsibilities that span technical leadership, project execution, team management, and stakeholder collaboration. Key responsibilities include:
- Project Management & Execution: Lead the planning, procurement, installation, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems for power generation units, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- System Design & Optimization: Develop, review, and approve detailed engineering designs for C&I systems including control panels, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), sensors, and field instruments to enhance plant automation and operational efficiency.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Oversee predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities for instrumentation equipment and control systems to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability and safety.
- Team Leadership & Development: Mentor, guide, and develop a skilled team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and innovation.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry codes, safety standards (such as IEC, ISA standards), environmental regulations, and company policies during all C&I activities.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Manage relationships with OEMs, contractors, and internal departments to secure timely delivery, resolve technical issues, and align project objectives.
- Cost Control & Reporting: Monitor project and operational budgets, prepare detailed reports, progress updates, and present technical findings to senior management for informed decision-making.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement new technologies and best practices to improve control system reliability, automation sophistication, and energy efficiency in alignment with Adani's sustainability goals.
- Safety Management: Champion safety protocols within the C&I domain to ensure a safe working environment and zero accidents, aligning with Adani's commitment to safety excellence.
Qualifications
Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in Control & Instrumentation within the power industry, preferably in thermal or renewable power plants, with hands-on expertise in managing large-scale C&I projects and operational maintenance.
