Job Description

Grant Thornton Bahrain is expanding its Tax Advisory team and looking to hire candidates at the managerial level. As an integral member of the team, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the team in business development efforts and delivery of engagements. Offer advisory support on a broad range of tax-related compliance management.

Primary Duties
Managing and coordinating business tax compliance management processes and tax advisory engagements
Providing innovative tax-related planning (domestic and cross-border)
Identifying risks, managing tax exposures, and mitigating tax risks by providing tax planning, structuring, and highlighting tax implications
Recognizing and evaluating the materiality and significance of tax-related issues and recommending appropriate solutions to ensure compliance
Improving processes by developing or implementing sustainable tax strategies
Building relationships and interacting with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise
Informing management of changes in the tax environment, as well as the ramifications of tax legislation changes

Decision Making Authority
In coordination with the Director and Partners

Supervisory Responsibility
Develop budgets, determine resource requirements, and monitor engagements
Projecting work fulfillment, delegating work effectively, and resolving related issues

Competencies/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent numeric and analytical skills
Result-driven and client focus
Ability to meet client deadlines
Ability to withstand work pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or related field
Completed a professional qualification, such as CPA/ACCA/CA
At least five years of professional experience in the taxation field
Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns
Good knowledge of business process
