This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager- Business systems & Transformation (SAP GTS) based in India.
In this role, you will contribute to a large-scale ERP transformation program focused on modernizing and harmonizing global trade and supply chain processes within a complex enterprise environment. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP Global Trade Services solutions as part of a broader S/4HANA transformation initiative. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional business, IT, and digital teams to ensure seamless integration of trade compliance, customs, and logistics processes. You will help translate business requirements into scalable SAP GTS solutions while ensuring alignment with global regulatory and operational standards. The role combines hands-on configuration expertise with strategic advisory responsibilities in a highly dynamic aerospace and defense environment. You will also contribute across project phases including blueprint, build, testing, and go-live support, ensuring successful delivery of critical transformation milestones. This is a high-impact role with visibility across global teams and enterprise-level programs.
Accountabilities
- Lead and support the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP GTS solutions including Compliance Management, Customs Management, Risk Management, and related functionalities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, map processes, and translate them into scalable SAP S/4HANA GTS solutions
- Support end-to-end ERP transformation phases including blueprinting, system build, testing, cutover, and hypercare activities
- Configure and optimize SAP GTS integrations with SAP S/4HANA, EWM, and other logistics and enterprise systems
- Support global trade compliance processes including export/import controls, license determination, embargo checks, customs valuation, and duty optimization
- Contribute to the development of functional specifications, solution documentation, process flows, and data governance standards
- Assist in evaluating third-party tools and bolt-on solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and trade compliance requirements
- Support data mapping, testing activities, and defect resolution across integrated systems
- Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing across the business systems and transformation function
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
- 8 to 10 plus years of overall experience in SAP and enterprise system transformation programs
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP GTS, including strong exposure to S/4HANA environments
- Deep expertise in SAP GTS modules such as Compliance Management, Customs Management, and Risk Management
- Strong understanding of global trade processes including export/import regulations, customs procedures, ECCN, HTS codes, and trade compliance standards
- Experience integrating SAP GTS with SAP S/4HANA, EWM, and logistics systems
- Proven experience in large-scale ERP implementation projects, preferably in complex or regulated industries such as aerospace and defense
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in agile or iterative project delivery environments is highly preferred
