About the Role
Cleartrip is looking for a sharp, commercially-minded Manager – Business Finance to partner with business teams and drive financial planning, analysis, and decision support. This role sits at the intersection of finance and business strategy, requiring someone who can translate numbers into actionable insights and influence business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a finance business partner to category/business teams, providing financial insights to support strategic and operational decisions
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for assigned business units
- Track and analyze key business and financial metrics (revenue, margins, unit economics, contribution margin, etc.)
- Prepare monthly/quarterly business reviews (MBRs/QBRs) with actionable commentary for leadership
- Evaluate profitability of new initiatives, pricing strategies, and promotional/marketing spends
- Build and maintain financial models to support business case evaluations
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Business, Product, Marketing, and Central Finance teams
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and reporting timelines
- Support automation and process improvement initiatives within Business Finance
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified — mandatory
- Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in a Business Finance / FP&A role
- Prior experience in E-commerce or OTA (Online Travel Agency) background strongly preferred
- Strong grasp of financial concepts, unit economics, and P&L management
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of financial modeling
- Exposure to BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
