Job Description

Purpose/Objective

To bring new projects for land utilization for the land assets of Industrial Estates adjoining all the Ports of APSEZ, particularly in Mundra Ports and SEZ ( 8000 Hectare Industrial Estate). 2. To bring long term cargo projects / businesses for all the Ports of APSEZ including for land utilization 3. Responsible for individual targets for bringing Long-term projects having contract value in INR Crore 4. Responsible for analyzing and doing a quick turnaround of strategic projects / BD initiatives / tasks directed by BD, SEZ & IZ) - HOD, top management and CEO's office

Key Responsibilities of Role

  1. Get new businesses in terms of bringing industrial units in our Industrial Estates adjoining all the Ports of APSEZ particularly in Mundra Ports and SEZ ( 8000 Hectare Industrial Estate).
  2. Get new businesses in terms of bringing long term cargo projects / business for all the Ports of APSEZ
  3. Responsible for analysis and quick turnaround of strategic projects / BD initiatives / tasks directed by BD (Growth, SEZ & IZ) HOD, top management and CEO's office
  4. Should have the ability to analyze and manage multiple projects across diverse sectors simultaneously with widely varying scopes and parameters as well as structured BD opportunities
  5. Scan the macro business scenario across sectors countrywide to prospect new businesses and keep a constant tab on new business opportunities. Deep dive on chosen sectors to understand the opportunity, identify and generate new businesses. As required understand sectoral policies and effect of international trade dynamics at play.
  6. To develop and maintain relationship with clients, associations, and trade bodies to create new business opportunities and generate new client relationships.
  7. Good grasp on new business analysis to quickly turnaround any strategic BD work / task given by BD, SEZ & IZ HOD, top management and CEO's office.
  8. Having good skills in creating management presentation, management notes and giving presentation to BD, SEZ & IZ HOD as well as top management and CEO.
  9. Assist reporting manager in preparation of monthly BD reviews, business presentations, internal as well as external communications within stringent timelines
  10. Financial: Carry out financial due diligence of eligible projects to help management in making a Go or No-Go decisions on various types of projects
  11. Financial: Generating financial spreadsheets to calculate IRR/ EBITDA/ PAT to estimate viability of eligible projects and conduct detailed financial analysis to provide inputs to the management regarding key levers impacting financials of the new projects
  12. Contract and bidding management Participation in bidding of new projects, its documentation and analysis including contractual risk analysis. Contract management of Project under initial stages up to COD from business perspective will be an added advantage
  13. Ability to work with various departments simultaneously acting as aggregator of various inputs for a project from various teams as well as possessing skill to take informed decision on the projects based on such disparate information
  14. Ability to work as a joint team member within a project specific team of BD, SEZ & IZ while handling many large projects as well ability to manage some projects independently.
  15. Ability to explain and convince reporting managers, HOD and various top management persons regarding value and viability of the projects so it goes forward
  16. Assist reporting manager in preparation of monthly BD reviews, business presentations, internal memos and internal and external communications
  17. Ability to entice and maintain interest in new Clients for new business areas where the new Client is often the expert of its field.
  18. Patience and perseverance in managing multiple internal and external stakeholders simultaneously

Qualifications and Experience

Graduate / B.E./ B. Tech and / or PGDM / MBA (Preferably having exposure to Finance during MBA and from top tier School)

Experience upto 15 years

  1. Candidates From Industry domain - Preferable experience in Business Development in Infrastructure / Industrial Estate space / Port Sector having ability for Client acquisition, Multiple projects handling, New business generation , head office group working, Bidding & Contract management, interaction on business projects with top management, etc.

OR

  1. Candidates From Consultancy domain - Preferable experience in Infrastructure / Industrial Estate space / Port Sector having experience in Client facing delivery, Multiple projects handling, new business case analysis, Bidding & Contract management, interaction on business projects with top management, etc
