Role Overview
We are looking for a Manager - Brand Marketing to lead global university engagement and academic partnerships to attract top research, PhD, and advanced technical talent. This role sits at the intersection of brand marketing, talent branding, and academic relations, building a strong presence for the organization across leading universities, research labs, and academic communities worldwide. The ideal candidate will design and execute strategies that position the company as a preferred destination for researchers, doctoral candidates, and deep-tech talent.
Key Responsibilities
University & Academic Partnerships
- Build and manage relationships with top global universities, research labs, and PhD programs.
- Identify and engage with faculty, research labs, doctoral committees, and innovation centers.
- Develop strategic partnerships with universities for research collaborations, fellowships, and talent pipelines.
- Represent the organization at academic conferences, university events, and research forums.
Talent Brand Building
- Position the company as a leading destination for research and deep-tech careers.
- Develop targeted brand campaigns aimed at PhD and research communities.
- Collaborate with employer branding teams to create research-focused storytelling and content.
- Manage visibility through academic publications, research forums, and university channels.
Outreach & Events
- Organize research seminars, campus talks, and academic workshops.
- Lead participation in academic conferences, research symposiums, and university career fairs.
- Coordinate campus engagement programs across multiple geographies.
- Build relationships with student research groups, PhD associations, and academic societies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Research, Talent Acquisition, and Leadership teams to align university engagement with hiring needs.
- Partner with PR and Communications teams to amplify research achievements and collaborations.
- Support hiring teams with PhD talent pipeline development.
Measurement & Insights
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of university partnerships and research talent pipelines.
- Monitor engagement metrics such as PhD candidate applications, research collaborations, and academic brand visibility.
- Continuously refine strategies based on data and feedback from academic partners.
Required Qualifications
- Master's/PhD degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in brand marketing, employer branding, campus relations, or academic partnerships.
- Experience working with universities, research communities, or higher education ecosystems.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Should be willing to travel as needed.
- Experience managing global partnerships or multi-region programs is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to PhD or research talent ecosystems.
- Experience in technology, research institutions, AI/ML, or deep-tech environments.
- Familiarity with academic conferences, research publications, and scholarly networks.
- Ability to translate complex research into compelling brand narratives.

- Growth in PhD and research talent applications.
- Number and quality of university partnerships and collaborations.
- Participation in global research conferences and academic engagements.
- Brand visibility within academic and research communities.
