Reporting To: Finance Manager / Head of Finance

Role Overview

We are seeking a finance professional to manage books of accounts, statutory compliance, audits, and GST-related activities across the organization. The role requires strong accounting fundamentals, compliance orientation, and the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Book Closure

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations and bookkeeping.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual book closure.
  • Verify journal entries, ledgers, provisions, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Maintain proper accounting documentation and records.

GST & Taxation

  • Handle GST working, reconciliations, filings, and compliance.
  • Ensure timely filing of GST returns and resolution of notices or queries.
  • Monitor input tax credit reconciliations and vendor compliance.
  • Coordinate with consultants and internal teams on taxation matters.

Audit & Compliance

  • Lead statutory, internal, and tax audit coordination.
  • Prepare audit schedules, reports, and supporting documents.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and compliance requirements.
  • Support implementation of financial controls and governance frameworks.

Financial Reporting

  • Assist in preparation of MIS, financial statements, and management reports.
  • Analyze financial data and highlight key observations or risks.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities when required.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Qualified CA / CA Inter / MBA Finance / M.Com.
  • 3–6 years of experience in accounting, audit, and GST compliance.
  • Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards and taxation.
  • Experience with retail, FMCG, or startup ecosystems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP software.
