Role Description

Performing testing procedures including substantive and controls testing, vouching, verification,

etc.

Provide necessary support to the team manager on Assurance engagement formalities

Handle areas and work allocated including testing and relevant Assurance procedures

Prepare Assurance work papers and ensure compliance with firms policies and procedures and

also regulatory requirements.

Manage and supervise junior team members including article staff.

Act as a SPOC for the team with the client in terms of data flow, communication, coordination

and discussions .

Coordinate with internal and external teams including client personnel for information/ data

Support the team on standardization of processes, documentation, analysis of technical issues,

and research solutions.

Support the team manager in project management, preparing status updated, compiling

requirements lists, etc

Participate in meeting with various teams, and contribute for the areas and responsibilities

handled.

Understanding business & industry issues / trends.

Ensuring timely delivery of working papers as per the defined timelines.

Ensuring compliance with engagement plans, internal quality & risk management procedures.

Should demonstrate knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and keep up to date with new

pronouncements relating to Ind AS.

Ownership and accountability of delivering all aspects of the Assurance engagement, from start

to finish.

Be responsible to front end and manage the internal and external quality review process for

respective engagements and deliverables.

Collaborate with teams including with experts and specialists involved in supporting delivery of

Assurance engagements.

Responsible for the operational matters including, billing, collections, efficiency and optimal

utilization of efforts and resources, monitoring engagement budgets, etc.

Proactively taking up full responsibility of documentation and guiding/monitoring junior

resources of the team

Qualifications

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess processes and propose innovative solutions
  • Familiarity with Assurance, Tax, and Advisory practices and related industry knowledge
  • Proficiency in leveraging digital tools, technology products, and applications for organizational benefit
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field; professional certifications, such as CA or MBA, are preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in professional and collaborative settings
  • Proven ability to adapt to dynamic professional environments and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience in business development and understanding of financial and operational strategy is a plus
