PwC India – Data Center Advisory
PwC India is seeking experienced professionals to join its Capital Projects & Infrastructure Advisory practice, with a focus on the rapidly growing Data Center sector.
This role offers an opportunity to lead high-impact advisory engagements across the data center lifecycle, working with leading clients including hyperscalers, colocation providers, developers, and enterprises across India and global markets.
Location: PAN India (with global exposure)

Role Overview
You will be responsible for leading complex advisory assignments, from strategy and feasibility through engineering design, execution oversight, and operational optimization. The role demands a strong blend of technical expertise, project leadership, and client engagement capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Engagement & Project Delivery
- Lead and manage end-to-end data center advisory engagements, including:
- Market entry strategy and location assessment
- Feasibility studies and business case development
- Technical advisory across design, engineering, and technology selection
- Project planning, monitoring, and execution support
- Ensure high-quality delivery of client outputs including reports, financial models, and presentations
- Drive project governance, risk identification, and mitigation planning
2. Technical Advisory – Data Center Domain
Demonstrate expertise across one or more areas:
- Power infrastructure (grid connectivity, UPS, backup systems, renewable integration)
- Cooling solutions (liquid cooling, HVAC optimization, energy efficiency)
- Data center design and engineering (Tier standards, modularity, scalability)
- IT and storage infrastructure fundamentals
- Construction and project execution for large-scale data centers
3. Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as the primary interface with senior client stakeholders (CXOs, developers, operators, EPC firms)
- Support leadership in managing client relationships and expanding engagements
- Lead workshops, steering committees, and executive presentations
4. Business Development
- Contribute to proposals, RFP responses, and solution development
- Identify and drive new business opportunities within the data center ecosystem
- Support go-to-market strategies for the sector
5. Thought Leadership & Practice Development
- Develop industry insights, points of view, and whitepapers on data center trends
- Build knowledge assets, frameworks, and reusable tools
- Mentor and guide junior team members
Experience Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in:
- Consulting (data center advisory / infrastructure consulting), or
- Data center developers, operators, or EPC firms
- Strong track record in leading or managing data center projects in India and/or global markets
Mandatory Skillsets
- Deep understanding of the data center value chain and ecosystem
- Strong project and stakeholder management capabilities
- Expertise in financial modelling, feasibility analysis, and business case development
- Ability to work across both technical and commercial domains
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to hyperscalers, colocation providers, or telecom infrastructure
- Experience in sustainability and green/ESG-driven data center design
Certifications (Good to Have):
- PMP / Prince2
- Data center certifications (e.g., Uptime Institute, CDCDP)
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil / IT preferred)
- MBA (preferred for Associate Director level)
