Job Description

Overview

The role is critical to ensure that engineering and procurement teams have visibility and granularity of the future project lists and targeted investments in assets and equipment from our manufacturing and distribution facilities, by updating respective database and liaise regularly with the BU's to update, clarify and develop better visibility of the prospect asset list. Additionally during execution, the role will be supporting the local engineering teams to capture and complete the requirements stated in our standard Vertical Start Up (VSU) process of new assets by liaising with OEMs to deliver the right documentation, info and training to our sites. Lastly the role will support the development of a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) evaluation framework to combine capital and operational costs and benchmark these against asset performance.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and maintain a process to deep dive into list of prospect projects with more clarity on required assets (technical description and specs) and to include obsoletes and retrofits to site masterplan. Must have visibility by GP to optimize Pre-Buy process
  • Support Maintenance VSU requirements (spares, manuals, PM schedules, training etc.).
  • Following up on OEMs
  • Support criticality analysis
  • Establish, maintain and govern a central assets database including pertinent technical details and not generic (e.g. equipment model, Eng design specs, , post installation modification/boosts, performance, etc.).
  • Link source TCO data (e.g. SAP PM) with Asset database (operational data including engineering design specs, lines, technologies etc.).
  • Gathering data and info from plants to identify systemic issues from assets/plants - reports and benchmark (asset LC management) against costs, TE, flexibility.
  • Support development of a TCO modelling framework and respective initiatives.
  • Gather info for systemic issues from assets.
  • Feed top-top discussions with OEMs
  • Benchmark assets TCO against their Performance (TE, MTBF etc)

Qualifications

  • Min 7 years experience in project management or maintenance of industrial/manufacturing assets.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of engineering and maintenance, services, assets and equipments demonstrated by a suitable College degree in either Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCad, SAP MM, EAM module
  • Experience in technical writing, including creating engineering documentation, manuals, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excel & Office package knowledge
