Core Responsibilities
1. Design & Development Leadership
- Full Lifecycle Management: Lead mechanical design for genset models from 10 kVA to multi-megawatt units, overseeing 3D modeling, 2D drawings, and BOM generation in Creo.
- Sub-System Expertise:
- Structures: Design base frames, fuel tanks, and ISO containers/enclosures optimized for vibration isolation and structural integrity.
- Thermal Management: Develop cooling systems (radiators, fans, airflow) to ensure peak performance in varied ambient conditions.
- Exhaust & Emissions: Select and design mufflers, piping, and flex joints compliant with noise and emission regulations.
- Acoustics: Implement advanced vibration isolation and acoustic attenuation to meet stringent noise requirements.
2. Technical Oversight & Validation
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the lead technical authority, providing design sign-offs and mentoring junior/intermediate engineers.
- Advanced Simulation: Conduct and oversee FEA and CFD to validate structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics for critical components.
- Best Practices: Drive DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) to streamline production and reduce costs.
3. Compliance & Project Management
- Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all products meet international standards, including ISO 8528, CE, and UL.
- Project Governance: Manage design timelines, resource allocation, and budgets for large-scale engineering projects.
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate with Electrical (control panels), Procurement (vendor specs), and Service teams to integrate field feedback into new designs.

Key Tools: PTC Creo, FEA/CFD Simulation, PLM/BOM Management.
Expertise: IC Engine Packaging, Structural Acoustics, Power Generation Systems.
