About the Role

Manager Agri Automation Sales will be responsible for driving Agri Automation business in Karnataka, focusing on end-user engagement, technical solutioning, and sales growth. The role requires strong expertise in microirrigation automation, zoning & sectioning of irrigation blocks, and pump flow calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Sales & Market Development
  • Lead Agri Automation sales for the Karnataka region, operating from Hyderabad.
  • Identify, engage, and convert end users, channel partners, and key influencers.
  • Achieve revenue targets through strategic sales planning and market expansion.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, field visits, and technical presentations.

  • Technical Expertise & Solution Design
  • Perform zoning and sectioning of irrigation blocks based on agronomic and hydraulic requirements.
  • Conduct surveys and design automation systems, including:
  • Data collection and field measurements
  • Pump flow and pressure calculations
  • Layout design and system configuration
  • Recommend optimal irrigation automation solutions to customers.

  • Product Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of microirrigation components: Valves, drippers, sprinklers, controllers, sensors, filters, etc.
  • Provide technical support for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

  • Customer Relationship & Support
  • Build long-term relationships with farmers, dealers, and institutional clients.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely support and issue resolution.
  • Collect market feedback to support product improvement.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Agriculture /B.Tech (Agriculture) /B.Sc or M.Sc Agriculture
  • Candidates with specialization or experience in microirrigation are preferred

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of agri automation, microirrigation systems, and field instrumentation.
  • Ability to interpret field data and prepare irrigation automation designs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic design tools.
  • Ability to travel extensively across Karnataka.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in sales and market development in the agricultural sector.
  • Familiarity with local agricultural practices and customer needs.
