To further strengthen our Malayalam-language content and digital presence, we are looking to hire a Malayalam Business Journalist & Video Anchor.
Role Overview
The selected candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, and presenting high-quality Malayalam business content for digital platforms. The role includes producing analytical news stories and features, scripting short-form videos in Malayalam, and anchoring those videos for web and social media audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, and edit news reports, analytical articles, and features in Malayalam on business, economy, markets, and entrepreneurship.
- Generate relevant story ideas and angles that cater to Kerala's business ecosystem and wider economic trends.
- Develop clear, engaging, and concise Malayalam scripts for short video formats.
- Present and anchor business news updates, explainers, and interviews in Malayalam for DhanamOnline.com's video and social channels.
- Conduct interviews with entrepreneurs, business leaders, policymakers, and experts.
- Work closely with editorial, video production, and digital teams to plan and execute multimedia content.
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to DhanamOnline.com's editorial standards and brand guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- 25 years of experience in business journalism, financial reporting, or multimedia reporting, preferably in Malayalam.
- Excellent command of written and spoken Malayalam with strong news sense and analytical ability.
- Good working knowledge of English for research and coordination.
- Proven on-camera presence and experience in video scripting and anchoring.
- Familiarity with digital media, online publishing tools, and social media platforms.
