About the Role
We are looking for aLead Mechanical Maintenanceto manage mechanical maintenance and equipment reliability at our manufacturing facility.
This is ahands-on roleresponsible for ensuring the reliability and uptime of plant equipment including rotating machinery, pressure vessels, piping systems, and plant utilities. You will work closely with the process engineering and plant operations teams to support installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of the plant.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoysowning equipment performance, troubleshooting complex systems, and building robust maintenance practices in a growing manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
1.Equipment Maintenance & Reliability
- Manage mechanical maintenance of plant equipment including pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, valves, piping systems, and rotating machinery.
- Develop and implementpreventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Monitor equipment health and ensure high reliability and uptime.
- Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and testing of mechanical systems.
2.Breakdown Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Lead troubleshooting during equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
- Conductroot cause analysis (RCA)for recurring equipment failures and implement preventive measures.
3.Installation & Commissioning
- Support installation and commissioning of plant equipment and mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors and contractors during installation activities.
- Review mechanical drawings, layouts, and equipment specifications.
4.Utilities & Mechanical Systems
- Oversee mechanical utility systems such as pumps, compressors, condensers, cooling systems, and gas-fired boilers.
- Ensure proper alignment, leak testing, and operational readiness of equipment.
- Support improvements in system efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
5.Maintenance Planning & Documentation
- Develop maintenance schedules, SOPs, and inspection protocols for plant equipment.
- Maintain equipment maintenance records, inspection reports, and service logs.
- Track spare parts inventory and identify critical spares required for reliable plant operations.
6.Shutdown & Turnaround Planning
- Plan and execute mechanical maintenance activities during plant shutdowns and maintenance windows.
- Coordinate with operations and process engineering teams for safe shutdown and restart procedures.
- Ensure adherence to plant safety practices and maintenance standards.
7.Technician & Contractor Coordination
- Supervise technicians during maintenance and repair activities.
- Coordinate with external contractors for mechanical, civil, and structural work.
- Ensure work quality and compliance with engineering standards and safety practices.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 46 years of experience inindustrial plant or manufacturing maintenance
- Hands-on experience with:
- Rotating equipment
- Pumps and compressors
- Pressure vessels and piping systems
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience inchemical, materials, or process industry plants
- Familiarity withboilers, condensers, heat exchangers, or thermal utilities
- Exposure toplant installation or commissioning projects
- Experience working with contractors and vendors
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices and maintenance systems
