Our client, a leading Japanese chemical manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support both building facilities and manufacturing equipment.
Reports To: Section Manager/Manager
【 Responsibilities 】
- Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive maintenance, including IMTE / calibration of plant equipment
- Plan and coordinate routine & ad-hoc maintenance for building and utility systems
- Perform hands-on maintenance and basic electrical / instrumentation troubleshooting
- Carry out basic fault diagnosis and troubleshooting on PLC-controlled systems, SCADA and HMI
- Support new equipment installation, upgrades, feasibility study and planning
- Liaise with and supervise contractors for maintenance and repair works
- Prepare technical documents, including approval papers, work instructions, training materials, and submissions to authorities
- Support spare parts and inventory management (quotation sourcing, price negotiation, ordering)
- Support the Technical Department in EHS activities, including risk assessment and compliance with company and regulatory requirements
【 Requirements & Preferences 】
(Must)
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in an electrical/chemical plant, or
- Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in an electrical/chemical plant.
- Basic to working knowledge of PLC, SCADA & HMI systems, including ability to perform basic troubleshooting and fault diagnosis (plant operations are PLC-controlled)
- Familiar with Risk Assessment, and FMEA is a must
- Strong knowledge of EHS requirements and ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 standards.
(Advantageous)
- Possession of a LEW licence will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage.
