Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Electrical Technician role based at the Ranipet facility. The Maintenance Electrical Technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and machinery used in CNC operations and motor manufacturing. Daily tasks include troubleshooting electrical faults, performing preventive maintenance, replacing or repairing wiring, panels, sensors, drives, and control systems, and ensuring safe and efficient operation of production equipment. The role involves collaborating with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime, documenting maintenance activities, and following safety and compliance standards. The technician will also support installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the plant.
Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, control panels, wiring, and power distribution.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines, electrical drives, PLC-based controls, and automation equipment.
  • Ability to perform scheduled preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and basic diagnostic testing using electrical instruments.
  • Understanding of safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and compliance with relevant electrical codes and standards.
  • Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field; equivalent technical qualification with relevant experience may be considered.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or machining environment, preferably in motor production or heavy industrial equipment.
  • Capability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Effective communication skills, ability to work in a team, and readiness to work in shifts if required.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
