Mainframe Scheduler Administrator (ESP)

Responsibilities :

Administer and support CA ESP Workload Automation Scheduler in Mainframe environments.

Monitor, schedule, and manage batch job processing to ensure timely execution of business-critical workloads.

Create, modify, and maintain ESP job definitions, calendars, dependencies, and workflows.

Troubleshoot and resolve job failures, scheduling conflicts, and production issues.

Coordinate with application and operations teams for batch scheduling requirements and production deployments.

Monitor daily batch processing and ensure SLA compliance.

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for scheduling and batch processing incidents.

Implement and maintain job automation, workload balancing, and process optimization.

Support disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning for scheduler environments.

Manage scheduler upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.

Develop and maintain operational documentation, job schedules, and runbooks.

Ensure compliance with change management, audit, and security standards.

Participate in on-call support and provide production support for critical batch cycles.
