Mainframe Modernization Consultant, Google Cloud

Role Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, solving complex Cloud Mainframe migration challenges.
• Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code for various stakeholders.
• Work with modernization tools and products to support mainframe migration and data modernization.
• Lead the delivery of complex mainframe migration projects, ensuring technical governance and team leadership.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience in cloud architecture.
• 4 years of experience in IT and mainframe technologies, including COBOL, PL/I, DB2, and CICS.
• Proven experience with mainframe migration tools like Micro Focus, Astadia, or mLogica.
• 4 years of experience in Java development and familiarity with Spring Boot framework.
