Job Description:

Candidate must be a skilled Hogan Deposits Developer. The candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance of Hogan systems. Proficiency in agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain Hogan Deposits systems and applications.
  • Consistently write efficient, production-ready, and testable code with a focus on quality.
  • Create scalable and reliable designs, adhering to architectural best practices and considering performance optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze system failures, propose improvements, and implement solutions.
  • Prioritize customer experience when making design and coding decisions.
  • Incorporate feedback from code reviews and maintain coding standards.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure engineering best practices and compliance with development processes.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, security, and reliability standards throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate on emerging technology initiatives and support the organization's technology transformation goals.
  • Effectively plan and prioritize tasks for incremental delivery, communicating blockers and potential delays proactively.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with Hogan Deposits Mainframe technologies: Cobol, JCL, IMS DB, MQ, and VSAM.
  • Expertise with tools such as Endevor, EzTrieve, FileManager, TSO, and EZTRIEVE.
  • Strong debugging skills for analyzing and resolving technical issues.
  • Knowledge of third-party dependency management and addressing transitive dependency challenges.
  • In-depth understanding of the IMS database and system integration.
  • Proficient in the software development life cycle (SDLC) and implementation processes.
  • Experience in release management and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with unit, system, and functional testing methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on large, transaction-based systems.
  • Proven capability in writing and documenting technical designs and functions
