Mainframe Developer with CICS

We are seeking a Mainframe Designer/Developer with strong design and development skills, who will be involved in all facets of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, designing, coding, testing, and deployment. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge in COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and Endevor, with particular emphasis on good experience in CICS. You should demonstrate good analysis and problem-solving skills, and the ability to understand complex requirements and assist the team in creating designs. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is essential, along with excellent communication skills and a team player attitude. The role also requires liaising with Clients, SMEs, and Business Associates, and some knowledge of the banking domain is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Full SDLC Engagement: Be involved in all facets of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, designing, coding, testing, and deployment of mainframe applications.
• Mainframe Development: Utilize strong knowledge in COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, and DB2 to develop and enhance critical mainframe systems.
• CICS Expertise: Apply good experience in CICS for online transaction processing development and troubleshooting.
• Version Control: Work effectively with Endevor for source code management and deployment.
• Analysis & Design: Possess good analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex requirements and assist the team in creating robust designs.
• Agile Collaboration: Work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Communication & Liaison: Exhibit excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude, liaising effectively with Clients, SMEs, and Business Associates to gather requirements and present solutions.
• Banking Domain (Good to Have): Leverage any existing knowledge of the banking domain to understand business context and requirements.
