Hands‑on experience in AWS‑based re‑hosting of mainframe applications using Rocket Software and Micro Focus Enterprise Server. Strong in assessment, remediation, functional equivalence, regression reuse, and performance validation for business‑critical workloads.
- Strong experience in re‑hosting mainframe workloads including COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM to distributed and cloud platforms (AWS).
- Hands‑on experience with Rocket Software migration toolset, including:
- Rocket Enterprise Analyzer for application assessment and impact analysis
- Rocket Enterprise Developer for development and remediation
- Rocket Data Replicate and Sync for data replication and synchronization
- Proven expertise in installing, configuring, and maintaining Micro Focus / Rocket environments, including:
- Micro Focus Enterprise Server (Rocket Software)
- Micro Focus Enterprise Developer
- Enterprise Analyzer
- Strong understanding of Linux environments with working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Perl, along with SQL.
- Excellent skills in debugging, log analysis, root‑cause analysis, and problem solving in complex legacy and hybrid environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, and integration with secure web services.
- Hands‑on experience supporting AWS‑based deployments to enable rapid data‑center exit.
- Strong focus on functional equivalence validation, regression test reuse, and performance benchmarking to ensure business continuity.
- Ability to support phased modernization post‑migration, enabling gradual transformation without business disruption.
