- Lead COBOL Developer will be responsible for overseeing SDLC process in Endevor for remediation of COBOL and Copybook changes, enforcing coding standards, and mentoring the development team.
- This role includes collaborating closely with the discovery teams to plan, intake, and analyze automated assembler macros, COBOL and Copybook code transformations, as well as making manual changes when required.
- Key responsibilities involve reviewing arithmetic logic, literals, and SIZE ERROR handling, coordinating copybook updates across multiple programs, leading code reviews to ensure adherence to standards, and providing guidance to junior developers.
- The role also requires working alongside VSAM, DB2, CICS, and JCL/Job specialists for at least twelve months, with the expectation of assuming responsibility for ongoing bug fixes after their departure.
