Mainframe Developer

Description

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of experience in developing and maintaining mainframe applications, with expertise in COBOL, JCL, and DB2.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform unit testing and support integration testing of mainframe applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing mainframe applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Document technical specifications, design documents, and user manuals.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3-8 years of experience in mainframe development and support.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and operating systems.
• Experience with CICS and VSAM.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
