Job Description
- Develop and enhance mainframe applications using Mainframe Enterprise Cobol and DB2
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Optimize and tune DB2 queries and programs for improved performance
- Participate in system analysis design and implementation activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mainframe applications and databases
- Document technical specifications processes and procedures for application maintenance and support
- Stay updated with the latest mainframe technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of mainframe applications ensuring high quality and timely delivery
- Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on Mainframe Enterprise Cobol and DB2
- Ensure data integrity and security in DB2 database management
- Coordinate with testing teams to plan and execute unit integration and system tests
- Manage and support production deployment activities and post deployment support
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance system efficiency and reliability
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution for mainframe systems

Nice to have Skills: Knowledge on new AI tools which are coupled with Mainframe
