Description

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe application development and maintenance, with a focus on COBOL and JCL. In this role, you will work closely with various teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and IMS DB and IMS DC.
Perform system analysis and troubleshooting to resolve issues in mainframe applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Implement enhancements and optimizations to existing mainframe systems.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including testing and deployment.

Skills and Qualifications

4-12 years of experience in mainframe development.
Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and IMS DB and IMS DC
Experience with CICS and VSAM.
Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and batch processing.
Familiarity with tools such as Endevor, CA7, and other mainframe utilities.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
