About the Job

We are looking for a DB2 DBA with good experience in Mainframe. The resource will provide L3 DB2 database support, troubleshoot complex production issues, perform database maintenance and performance tuning, support data movement activities, and ensure the stability and availability of critical DB2 environments.

Skill Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Mainframe DB2 on z/OS.
  • Experience with IBM DB2 V13 for z/OS and IMS DB.
  • Strong knowledge of DB2 performance tuning, including SQL query optimization, index management, workload management, DB2 Performance Monitor, and BMC APPTUNE.
  • Hands-on experience with DB2/BMC utilities such as REORG, RUNSTATS, COPY, LOAD, UNLOAD, MODIFY, CHECK, RECOVER, REBUILD, and BIND/REBIND.
  • Experience with IBM DB2 tools and BMC tools such as Catalog Manager, Change Manager, Log Master, APPTUNE, and MainView.
  • Experience with DB2 Data Sharing and Parallel Sysplex environments.
  • Experience supporting highly critical databases across multiple environments.
  • Experience in database maintenance, data movement, performance tuning, and production support activities.
