Mainframe Database Administrator

8+ Years of Experience in Administering Database Systems on Mainframe Platform.

Well Versed with Db2/IMS/IDMS on z/OS.

Proficient in SQL, JCL, REXX, TSO/ISPF, CICS

Should have good exposure on Db2 Migrations.

Design, create, and maintain DB2 databases, table spaces, tables, indexes, and views.

Optimize database performance and space utilization

Execute routine tasks like LOAD, REORG, RUNSTATS, and RECOVERY

Implement strategies for data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.

Assist application teams with SQL issues, data refreshes, and technical advice.

Diagnosing and resolving database issues, preventing outages and slowdowns.

Well versed with ITIL Processes.

Strong analytical skills and willingness to learn

Good communication skills

Should be able to provide inputs for Solutions (RFP/Q/I).

Secondary skills of Storage/Middleware administration or Operations is an added advantage.
