Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Mainframe CICS Support Engineer with 46 years of experience to support and maintain critical mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in CICS, JCL, COBOL, and DB2, with hands-on experience in production support, incident management, and troubleshooting in a high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support for Mainframe applications running on CICS
- Monitor and manage CICS regions, transactions, and performance
- Diagnose and resolve application and system issues within SLA timelines
- Work on incident, problem, and change management processes
- Analyze abends, logs, dumps, and system messages for root cause
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams
- Perform job monitoring, scheduling, and JCL updates
- Support batch and online processes in mainframe environments
- Ensure system stability, availability, and performance optimization
- Maintain documentation for incidents, fixes, and processes
Required Skills
- Strong experience in CICS (Customer Information Control System)
- Hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2
- Knowledge of VSAM, TSO/ISPF, SDSF
- Experience in production support / application support roles
- Understanding of mainframe architecture and job scheduling tools (Control-M or equivalent)
- Experience in handling incident & problem management tools (ServiceNow preferred)
- Ability to analyze ABEND codes and system dumps
- Good understanding of batch processing and online transactions
