Mainframe Architect

Job description

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
• Proficient in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, GDG
• Experience with tools such as SCLM, Control-M, XD, SAR
• Good knowledge of AFP printers and drivers, including:
• Page Definitions (PageDefs), Page Forms (FormDefs)
• Fonts, Overlays, Segments
• Familiarity with Mobius Indexing, Command Procedures, and Stream Weaver
• Exposure to Content Cloud programming
• Basic knowledge of Elixir, Ricoh AFP Driver/Viewer
• Understanding of printer setup and execution of reports/letters from various sources in the mainframe ecosystem
• Handle ServiceNow tasks and incidents.
• Respond to Adhoc email requests from internal teams or business users
• Provide 24x7 on-call support for PT & PR* batch jobs related to print and distribution
• Conduct z/OS upgrade testing
• Investigate printer error failures during print test cycles
