As a Senior Mainframe Developer, you will lead endtoend modernization of legacy workloads, spanning analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation, while using GenAI tools to accelerate delivery
Key Responsibilities
Legacy Development & Analysis: Maintain and refactor COBOL/JCL components; optimize DB2/IDMS/VSAM data structures; script utilities with Easytrieve/REXX; manage OPC scheduling
Modernization Delivery: Execute migrations to AWS, Oracle DB, Informatica; define ETL mappings and data transformation solutions; perform UT/SIT/RT and production implementation with postsupport
GenAIEnabled Productivity: Apply GHCP extensions, Amazon Q Transform, IBM watsonx, Swimm, Windsurf/Gemini to speed code understanding, test case generation, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
Agile Ways of Working: Drive Scrum ceremonies; manage changerequests; track work in Jira/Confluence/Kanban; partner with stakeholders for estimation and backlog grooming
MustHave Skills
COBOL, JCL, DB2, IDMS, VSAM, Easytrieve, REXX; batch/online processing expertise
Handson modernization to AWS/Oracle/Informatica
Proficiency in ETL mapping/design and data transformation.
Agile/Scrum mastery (PSM I); strong problemsolving and multitasking
