Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Magento-based e-commerce websites ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
• Create and customize Magento themes and templates to match brand aesthetics and user experience requirements.
• Build and integrate custom Magento extensions and modules to extend platform functionality.
• Manage and optimize Magento databases for efficient data retrieval and storage.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, code inefficiencies, and issues to improve website speed and user experience.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, bugs, and errors on the Magento platform.
• Integrate third-party systems, payment gateways, shipping providers, and other APIs with Magento.
• Keep the platform and extensions updated by applying patches and performing version upgrades.
• Implement security best practices to protect customer data and prevent threats.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, configurations, and customizations.
• Collaborate closely with front-end developers, designers, project managers, and stakeholders to align with project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Magento Developer with a strong portfolio of e-commerce projects.
• In-depth knowledge of Magento architecture, customization, and extension development.
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and caching mechanisms.
• Understanding of SEO best practices for e-commerce sites.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Magento Certification(s) (e.g., Magento Certified Developer).
• Familiarity with other e-commerce platforms.
• Experience with responsive web design and mobile optimization.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD).
• Understanding of UX/UI principles for e-commerce.
