Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various machines in the machine shop, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining operations.
- Monitor machine operations to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a machine shop environment.
- Proficient in operating CNC machines and manual machining tools.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with quality control measures and inspection tools.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills for machine programming and record-keeping.
