Machine Learning Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize machine learning, information extraction, and probabilistic matching algorithms.
• Build and deploy scalable, production-ready machine learning models to address real-world business challenges.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to design and prepare data models required for training and testing ML models.
• Work closely with ML Scientists, Data Scientists, and other engineers to solve complex technical problems.
• Apply state-of-the-art AI techniques including NLP, dialogue systems, recommendation systems, and information retrieval.
• Utilize predictive analytics and data mining to derive insights and inform business decisions.
• Develop large-scale, high-performance software systems with a focus on numerical computation and algorithm efficiency.
• Conduct research and develop innovative solutions using modern machine learning and deep learning frameworks.
• Mentor junior Machine Learning Engineers and contribute to their technical growth.
• Collaborate with product management teams to integrate AI capabilities into product features.
• Contribute actively to shaping the future of Phenom's AI-driven products and services in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of industry experience in machine learning engineering or related fields.
• PhD, MS, or BTech in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar technical discipline.
• Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, linear algebra, and probability.
• Proven experience in building, deploying, and productionizing machine learning models at scale.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and Scala.
• Hands-on experience with data processing and storage frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
• Knowledge of NLP algorithms, information extraction, and deep learning techniques.
• Solid understanding of multithreaded and object-oriented software development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a research-oriented mindset.
