This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for senior technical professionals who can commit anywhere from 10 to 40 hours per week.

What You'll Do
- Construct precise, structured reasoning logs that walk through sophisticated technical problems from start to finish
- Document sequential decision-making and strategic planning workflows that reflect genuine expert thinking
- Demonstrate proficient tool selection and use across complex, multi-step technical scenarios
- Generate high-quality training datasets that show AI models what reliable, rigorous problem-solving looks like
- Review and critically evaluate AI-generated reasoning steps — identifying gaps, errors, and opportunities for improvement
- Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments at your own pace
Who You Are
- Experienced professional with a strong background in Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Exceptional at breaking down complex logical processes and articulating them clearly in writing
- A structured, methodical thinker who naturally documents their reasoning — not just their conclusions
- Sharp critical eye — you can audit AI-generated reasoning and spot where it goes wrong
- Self-directed and reliable when working independently without close supervision
- Holds a Master's Degree or PhD in a relevant technical field
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI/ML evaluation pipelines
- Familiarity with LLM behavior, RLHF, or AI alignment concepts
- Background in technical writing, research documentation, or systems design
- Experience working with AI tools, APIs, or coding assistants in a professional context
